
Chasm Lake Trail
To get to the Chasm Lake trail point from Estes Park, you should keep going (driving) at close to 9 miles south on Colorado Highway 7 – heading to the junction for the Longs Peak Ranger point.
Note that you will be following the East Longs Peak Trail for the most part of this trip. Starting at the Longs Peak Ranger Station, the road begins with an abrupt hike thru a dense forest.
About one-half mile – you will get to the Eugenia Mine Trail junction, & closely around 1.2 miles, should go thru the path that leads to the Goblins Forest Backcountry Campground.
Approximately 2.2 miles from the trail point, & at about 10,750 ft elevation, you will conclusively get to the subalpine zone.
At around 2.5 miles, you’ll get to the trail that follows thru to Battle Mountain Backcountry Campsite.
At around 3.4 miles, within an 11,540 ft elevation, you will land at Chasm Lake Trail junction. From this point – the Chasm Lake route faces southwest.
